Prior to his leadership role in Kaprica, Doug was a cyber-security focused R&D; manager at Lockheed, specializing in cultivating hacking talent. He has an MBA and MS from the University of Maryland and his BS in Computer Science from Illinois.

Andrew Wesie
CTO & Co-Founder
Andrew joined Kaprica Security as its CTO from Lockheed. He and his engineering team are exceptionally well known in the hacking community. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University

Hudson Thrift
COO & Co-Founder
Hudson joined Kaprica Security as its COO with the team from Lockheed. Hudson’s previous startup leadership experience at VinoniV, helps him guide the company’s financials and resource allocation. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Simon Hartley
VP Sales & Marketing
Simon joined Kaprica from DMI, the largest provider of secure managed mobility to the Federal Government. Previously, he headed worldwide sales and marketing for Thursby Software, transforming it into the market leader in secure enterprise mobility for Apple and Android in the US Government, with many notable wins, and a world class partner ecosystem. Prior to Thursby, Simon held various US and European sales and management roles at Red Hat, HP, Capgemini, was a hedge fund manager and a partner in a $50-million dot com. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Manchester University, with graduate studies at Stendhal and Cornell Universities.

Peter Laitin
VP Public Sector
Prior to joining the company, Peter held executive sales and management roles at Thursby Software, Good Technology, Verisign and RSA Technologies, with a strong focus to security, DoD and Federal clients. He holds a BS degree in Marketing and Public Relations from Ashford University and also a BA in Political Science from Indiana University.

Sagar Momin
Engineer & Co-Founder
Sagar is a developer at Kaprica Security, where he works on the product’s capabilities and focuses on developing relationships to ensure the Skorpion charger meets the evolving needs of customers. Sagar spends his free time exploring new technology, traveling to new places, and dining at eclectic restaurants.

Brian Pak
Researcher & Co-Founder
Brian is an enthusiastic hacker who co-founded Kaprica Security to do awesome stuff with his colleagues. Brian executes R&D; contracts including DARPA CFTs that Kaprica Security has won. Besides work, Brian actively plays hacking competitions with Plaid Parliament of Pwning, where he met most of his colleagues.

Garrett Barboza
Engineer & Co-Founder
Garrett studied Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon. He hails from Ohio and enjoys diving down rabbit holes headfirst.

Eric Innis
Engineer
Eric is an electrical engineer and thus understands that negative feedback is the key to the universe, but also enjoys software development, particularly embedded software with real-time constraints. When he's not absorbed in technical pursuits he enjoys traveling, battling the forces of nature, and long walks on the beach.

Steve Slepian
Controller
Steve is a CPA with 30 years experience with public/private, domestic/international companies of substance. He has worked as Controller for a $1billion revenue NYSE listed financial services company as well as a fast growth PE backed international power company. He began his career with Deloitte and has an MBA and MA Accounting from the University of Hawaii. When not playing the numbers game Steve likes to collect Japanese woodblock prints, read and decompress at the gym.

Eric Carey
Chief of Staff
Eric joined Kaprica Security as the Chief of Staff with the opening of the Austin office. Eric keeps Kaprica rolling, from hiring to operations. When he's not checking email, he enjoys reading anthropology texts and learning Japanese. Eric holds a BS in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, and a MA in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago.

Patrick Grayson
Engineer
Patrick joined Kaprica shortly after receiving a dual degree in Computer Science and Classics from the University of Texas at Austin. He makes it a point to learn something new every day on the job, and when he’s not working he can frequently be found on a bicycle or on a running trail.

Matt Vlasich
General Counsel
Matt serves as general counsel for Kaprica, where he is responsible for patent development, contract review, regulatory compliance, and legal drafting. Matt earned his JD from George Washington University with a focus on patent and information privacy law.
